Vanderbilt Industries is one of the world’s leading providers of security technology for residential and commercial applications. In addition to both simple and complex access control solutions, the company develops cloud-based burglar alarm systems, among other products, for its customers. The products in the SPC Connect series are specifically designed for remote monitoring, management, and maintenance. With a single mouse click, service providers can immediately offer customer service and support.

“Our SPCN320 modem is a GSM interface for SPC control panels that can be assigned to any mobile network once a SIM card is inserted. However, we also needed a SIM that supports this feature and can connect to different mobile networks,” explains John O’Donnell, product manager at Vanderbilt. “We found a suitable M2M SIM for this in WhereverSIM. We want to offer our customers solutions that not only solve problems but also create added value. With technology partners like WhereverSIM, we further enhance this added value.”
One of the key benefits of WhereverSIM is not only access to all mobile networks but also the static IP address assigned to each individual SIM card. Every IoT SIM card has such an IP address, allowing the connected device to be addressed directly by the main system. This enables Vanderbilt to push new configurations directly from the cloud to end devices as needed, without having to be on-site. This saves time not only for Vanderbilt but also for the user, who can immediately start using a fully operational device.
