EvoCount, based in Kaiserslautern, develops and markets solutions for digital people counting. This innovative solution is used primarily at large events, festivals, and concerts. All collected data is transmitted in real time so that it is immediately available for assessing the situation. In addition to EvoCount’s proprietary wireless standard, the system uses M2M SIM cards from WhereverSIM to transmit the data.

The challenge here is that, since events always take place at different locations, you never know which cellular network will have the strongest signal on-site. Ultimately, flexibility was another decisive factor in choosing WhereverSIM. Through the online portal, Tim and his colleagues can easily manage the M2M SIM cards on their own. This is a huge advantage, especially for rental devices: SIM cards in devices that aren’t currently in use are deactivated until the next assignment. This allows us to regulate data usage and save costs.
